The Visionary
Angela Zanders is a native of Americus, GA. She began her career in 1996 as a licensed cosmetologist. Being a newly teen mom, she decided to enroll in Albany School of Beauty to pursue a career in cosmetology to support her and her son. After three years working as an understudy, she ventured out to start her first salon, Strictly Business & Co Beauty Salon. Her salon quickly became a pillar in the community that represented a family and friend establishment. Her primary focus was customer service, continuing education, and building relationships in the industry and salon, which is still priority today. With no formal business training and no legal structure, she struggled with growing the business to be a brand that would compete in the beauty industry.
In 2003, she enrolled in college to gain a better understanding of business. She completed two years before taking a sabbatical for ministry, relocation of her business, and being a single mom. Since her initial enrollment, she started and stopped many times. Despite her start in business, she found that she has a true gift for implementing strategies for individuals and businesses. Unexpectedly, she began to coach and mentor individuals in business, help develop them as business owners as well as strategies to grow their personal and professional brand. A role that she thought was irony due to her start as a business owner. Within a couple of years, there was immediate success from her coaching and mentoring. In 2020, despite the Covid19 pandemic, she decided to make her last attempt at reenrolling her best. She reenrolled and received her Business degree in Marketing. A move that she recognizes as being an accomplishment for her next level in business.
She restructured her brand under the parent company Angela Zanders Beauty, LLC. In addition to restructuring. Strictly Business Beauty Salon, she received certification as a Nonsurgical Hair Loss Specialist, Certified Hair Loss Specialist, and studying Trichology. Each faction is a representation of the growth that has occurred personally and professionally. In 2012, she launched her first hair loss seminar, I Am Not My Hair, to help women overcome, recover, and embrace life with and after hair loss. Her passion coupled with her experience, love for personal and business restoration gave birth to Life Behind the Chair, for beauty professionals to have a safe place to disgust personal and business issues that are hindering their growth personally and professionally.
Today, Angela is Nonsurgical Hair Loss Specialist, Certified Hair Loss Specialist, and aspiring Trichologist that is dedicated to helping women with hair loss solutions. In addition, she dedicates herself to helping build and restructure salons and businesses. Her goal is to assist business owners in finding their niche and strategies for growing their business and personal brands. She continues to work behind the chair to help women embrace and connect to their inner beauty.
